＜選挙とは？＞
首長や会議の議員、団体の代表者や役員を選び出すこと。多くの場合、投票によって行われる。なお、国会議員など国政に関する選挙を国政選挙、地方公共団体の長や地方議会議員選挙など地方自治に関する選挙を地方選挙と称される。
